Welcome all!
I'm thankful for the idea of building a Natural Food Co-Op in the Nottoway County, Virginia area. After relocating to the area, I realized that the ability to obtain natural and organic foods was limited, so I followed a friend's advice and started my own co-op. I'm now praying that this co-op will benefit us all in our pursuit of living a healthier life.

Just what will this Co-Op offer? The ability to obtain natural and organic foods and health items without driving miles. The benefits of a webpage, that offers recipes, member case splitting, natural approach to health, and more to come as this site builds. With gas prices on the rise, this may be the solution for you.

How will it work?
I will be ordering from two companies, United Naturals, Frontier, and pick up for Quail Cove orders. You will be able to obtain all of your groceries as well as your health/cosmetic items. I will be using a local farm out of Farmville named Thistledown Farm to supply my members with locally grown produce, eggs, meat, and honey.
United Naturals- offers a 200+ page catalog of natural/chemically free/ organic perishable and non perishable items. Items range from Grains and meats to canned foods and nuts. They also offer Vegan items. It's basically a grocery store in a book, with the exception of bulk buying. The price doesn't seem to be much cheaper than the grocery store, but they offer a wide variety of items that don't seem to be available in local stores. This will also be a local pick up, so you will not have to drive 50 miles to a health food store.
 Frontier- also offers a 200+ page catalog and carries your big name companies such as Burts Bee's, Seventh Generation, Nature's Gate and more. For about half the price! That's right, half the price. This company has been a God send to our family; we've been able to go natural with just about everything from cleaning products, to shampoo, to toothpaste! You do not have to buy in bulk with Frontier, and you will not believe the savings! Frontier also offers spices, teas, coffee and much more! Another benefit to Frontier is that they offer a monthly SALE catalog that is mailed to you, so this is an EXTRA saving on top of what you already save.

Quail Cove Farms- Quail Cove is a Virginia based company offering natural and organics. I will not place this order, but if you have a complete membership to this co-op I will pick up your order and bring it to my home for you to pick up. This company has been a blessing to our family, you do not have to buy in bulk , but bulk is available and the prices are cheaper.
Thistledowne Farm- Will provide my members with all their produce, meat, eggs, and honey needs. The great thing is most (not all) are chemical free and locally grown. To top that the prices are GREAT!  There will be a $1 fee (for pickup) + membership, no minimum is required. Thistledowne farm ordering will only be available during growing season. When she's no longer coming to our area this will stop.
Avery's Branch farm- This is a local farm located in Amelia Courthouse area. They offer cow shares that allow you to purchase raw cow milk as well as cheese, butter, cream, natural meat and eggs! At this time Avery's Branch farm has spots open for their cow share. As part of your membership I will be willing to pick-up our milk weekly, I will charge a pick up fee of $2. Your milk will be kept cool and ready for pick up at my home in Crewe. You do not have to be a member to order with Avery's Branch farms, but you do have to be a member of this co-op to participate in arranged pick-ups. I would also be willing to pick up any meat, egg or other items from this farm as long as you're participating in the cow share. I would like to have five families signed up for cow shares before this starts. If you're interested in this please contact me.
